EPI's Guide to Health Care Reform Now Available (1/7/10)
When the House passed its health care reform bill in November, and the Senate passed its own version on Christmas Eve, months of debate culminated in two bills that collectively totaled over 4,000 pages.
To help clear up the key issues in the health care debate, the Economic Policy Institute has released a guide that explains what these issues are about and what they mean to working Americans.
The guide shows how the so-called "Cadillac tax" will in fact end up hurting many middle-class Americans, and will "capture very few Cadillacs and plenty of Chevys." The guide also examines the public option, insurance exchanges, and all of the other hot-button issues of the health care debate and the resulting bills. The guide is a great tool for gaining a greater understanding of the House and Senate bills, and the debate that has helped shape them and resulted from them.
