Don't Privatize Social Security

President Bush is trying to convince Americans that Social Security is in immediate crisis, and that privatization is simply the only option. It just isn’t so.

Bush has also been quiet about the huge costs involved in changing over to this system, and the huge risks involved. There are many reasons why this plan is being attacked by many politicians on both sides of the aisle.
Bush has also been quiet about the huge risks. In a move that is reminiscent of the 1920s, he is trying to convince us that everyone can be successful at the stock market. It isn’t so; many people lose money in the stock market every day. It isn’t a sure thing, if it was we would ALL be rich. Which of course was the idea that led up to the Great Depression in the 1930s.
The real winners would be those on Wall Street who stand to make billions from running an expensive privatized program. Polls have shows that so far Americans are not being fooled and don't want to see Social Security destroyed.
