Final Push for Employee Free Choice Act (6/25/07)
On Tuesday, June 26, the U.S. Senate will vote on the Employee Free Choice Act.
The bill would require employers to recognize a union if a majority of
workers sign union cards. This would help workers gain a union voice
without the current flawed election process, which is vulnerable to
illegal but seldom-punished employer intimidation and abuses.
"For too long workers who want to join a union have been denied that
right," said RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum. "This bill would go a
long way toward correcting these injustices."
Help make the final push we need to get this important law passed. Tell your senators to support the Employee Free Choice Act.
