Three-Year Contract at Sara Lee Raises Wages, Pension Benefits (8/14/07)

Over 140 RWDSU Local 665 members employed at Sara Lee in Michigan's upper peninsula have ratified a new three-year contract. The contract covers workers who produce Sara Lee hot dog and hamburger buns at the company's Marquette, Michigan plant, and workers who distribute and sell the products throughout the area.
Employees will see wages rise $1.20 over the life of the contract, and their health care plans will be protected. Pension contributions by the company will also increase.
