Three-Year Pact at Miles Kedex (8/21/07)

A new three-year agreement at Miles Kedex in Westminster, Massachusetts, protects health care benefits for the 65 RWDSU Local 60 members who work there. Local 60 members produce the padded portfolios used for college and high school diplomas.

"Protecting our health care benefits was the top priority in this contract, and the members were united behind the negotiating committee to make sure it happened," said New England Joint Board President Brian Sabourin.
The contract also contains $.99 in wage gains over the course of the three years, and contains a provision that guarantees vacation time compensation for anyone who leaves the company for any reason.
The contract was ratified on August 8, 2007.
