Agreement Maintains Health Care at Perfection Bakery (10/25/07)

On Wednesday, October 3, RWDSU Local 835 members employed at the Perfection Bakery store in Fort Wayne, Indiana voted unanimously to ratify a new three-year contract. In addition to wage increases and increased contributions to the pension by the company, the health care benefits will be maintained over the life of the contract.

"These days, our number one priority is keeping our health care benefits intact, and we worked really hard to achieve that," said RWDSU Indiana Joint Board President Dave Altman.
The agreement also increases holiday pay and paid sick leave. All employees also received a $250 ratification bonus.
