New contract for Middle Country Cafeteria Workers (3/16/10)

Local 1102 members employed as cafeteria workers in the Middle Country School District, Long Island, ratified a new four-year contract with their employer. The new contract provides many improvements including increases in wages over the four years of the pact, increases in employer contributions to the health care and pension plans and increases in pay rates for new hires. A new benefit, paid jury duty days will also be implemented.
