Senator Schumer to Motts: Come Back to the Table and Negotiate (6/23/10)
Senator Charles Schumer (D - NY), in a letter to Dr Pepper Snapple CEO Larry Young, points out the costs to New York being incurred by the strike, and urges management at Motts to come back to the negotiating table and bargain in good faith.
"I understand the difficult situation that our weakened economy has exerted on all firms, but - given the solid profitability of the Dr. Pepper Snapple group - I urge you to do everything possible to protect these good-paying jobs in an already distressed region of upstate New York."
