Obama's Labor Department Steps Up Enforcement of Labor Laws (8/20/09)
An article in the Wall Street Journal details the steps Labor Secretary Hilda Solis is taking to help the Department of Labor protect workers, including adding 150 investigators in the Wage and Hour division to enforce wage rules and child-labor laws.
OSHA is also taking additional steps to protect workers from illness and injury.
"The previous administration was not prone to fight on the side of worker protection and we're going in that direction to level the playing field," Ms. Solis said.
