RWDSU Board Meets at UFCW Convention (8/16/08)

The RWDSU Executive Board met in Montreal, Quebec, today prior to the opening of the UFCW Convention. Board members discussed proposed constitutional amendments and resolutions that will be brought before the convention this coming week.

"At the convention, delegates will discuss proposals that will chart the course of the UFCW for the next five years," said RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum. "RWDSU delegates will play an important role in those discussions."

Delegates to the convention began ariving in Montreal today and will be attending preliminary meetings on Sunday. RWDSU delegates will caucus on Sunday afternoon and each morning of the convention. The UFCW 6th Regular Convention gavels down on Monday morning and will be in session through Friday.
