New Contract for Ohio Aramark Workers (9/28/11)

A new contract for Local 379 members in Columbus, Ohio, has brought wage and benefit increases for Aramark Uniform employees. Members will receive a $1,000 bonus in each year of the contract along with a 48 cent raise in hourly wages in the last year of the contract, and pension benefits also increase each year. In addition, a $300 boot allowance and $60 glove allowance were implemented, and health care benefits were protected with a minimal $2 increase in costs each year.

Dental and vision coverage has been improved as well.

There are 40 RWDSU members at Aramark Uniform, which provides uniform, rug, and towel services for many large manufacturing plants including General Motors and Honda.
